My name is Nicolas, and I created MXO to make exceptional cocktails accessible to a wider audience.
My career began in the marketing teams of major spirits companies before I became a bartender and worked in over ten countries across Europe and Latin America.
While training bar teams and sales teams, I realized that many establishments didn’t have a bartender, which prevented them from expanding their drink menus with cocktails, often demanded by their clientele.
Through conversations with my circle, I discovered an additional need: the ability to enjoy a high-quality cocktail at home without having to mix it oneself. The idea of offering bottled cocktails began to take shape.
MXO Launch In 2020, when the COVID-19 health crisis halted my last professional activity, I decided to take the plunge and launch the project I had been working on for some time – creating a range of ready-to-drink cocktails mixed from natural and high-quality ingredients.
After a tour of France in search of partners, I decided to start the project in Charente, surrounded by local producers and an artisan distillery enthralled by the project. I also brought on board the head bartender Sebastien Gentil, who took charge of reinterpreting the great classics among the iconic cocktails.
Thanks to our hard work, the innovative recipes of the Parisian head bartender, and the expertise of our Charente suppliers, the MXO range was launched in 2022 after 18 months of research and development.
After a crowdfunding campaign that exceeded all my expectations (€10,000 in pre-sales, double the set target), I was able to finance the project and bottle my first cocktails in April 2022.
MXO also attracted several prestigious clients from the hotel and restaurant industry, wishing to offer their customers a high-end tasting experience.
